About a year ago, the Barclays Center staff began using Lua, hoping to streamline communication and improve efficiency in both the Suite Sales and VIP guest service departments. During the past year, we’ve worked closely with the arena and its fantastic employees as they strived to perfect suite sales processes and deliver impeccable service to guests.
On Tuesday, our clients’ efforts were on display, when Pollstar Magazine released its annual arena sales rankings. The Barclays center ranked as the #1 American arena in both ticket sales and gate revenue. An amazing feat, considering 2013 was the Brooklyn stadium’s first year in operation. Communication and teamwork were central in this accomplishment, and we’re happy to have provided the premium seating and suite sales team with a tool that helped them stand out within the organization, which ultimately sold 657,423 tickets, bringing in $46.9 million.
As other arenas begin adopting Lua, we’re confident they will experience the same benefits. Effective communication systems are critical in industries such as venue management, where a sizable mobile workforce must deliver five-star service to VIPs – from the beginning of the sales process through the last moment of an event.
